Six stallions join the new Normandy-based operation

Haras de Castillon has announced the launch of Castillon Stallions, its new stallion division.
Located in Castillon-en-Auge, at the heart of Normandy’s breeding country, the farm founded in 2015 by Benoît Jeffroy and Annabelle Aimé enters an exciting new chapter with the arrival of six stallions: Marhaba Ya Sanafi, Tribalist, Thunder Moon, Texas, Romanised and Magic Dream.
« Launching our own stallion station marks the realisation of a long-held ambition. I hope we can meet breeders’ expectations with the stallion roster we’re putting together » says Benoit Jeffroy
Two new recruits for 2026
Among the newcomers, Marhaba Ya Sanafi and Tribalist will stand their first seasons at Haras de Castillon in 2026.

Marhaba Ya Sanafi (Muhaarar - Danega, by Galileo) was a Classic-winning miler, victorious in the Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains ahead of Good Guess, and third in the Gr.1 Prix du Jockey Club behind Ace Impact and Big Rock in a record-breaking renewal over 2100m. A tough and consistent performer, he raced for four seasons at the top level, winning five times and placing 12 times, nine of them in Stakes company. From a top-class pedigree, combining the lines of Green Desert, Linamix, Galileo and Danehill, he impressed throughout his career with his soundness, attitude and athletic model.
« Marhaba gave us great emotions at the highest level. We are proud to have bred and raced him and we are now looking for the future with his youngsters by strongly supporting him » - Jaber Abdullah, owner
« Marhaba Ya Sanafi is one of the best horse I have trained. He is tough / sound and a good looking horse that has always been a fighter during his long career. A horse with no issue and with a great mind could be a great addition to the French stallion ranks » - Andreas Schütz, trainer

Tribalist (Farhh – Fair Daughter, by Nathaniel), entrusted by Godolphin, was among the best milers of his generation. Winner of the Gr.1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp, he also claimed seven Group victories, including three Gr.2 Prix du Muguet and two Gr.3 Prix Edmond Blanc for trainer André Fabre. A model of durability, he recorded 10 wins and 10 placings against the elite – Charyn, Notable Speech, Henry Longfellow, Facteur Cheval, Skalleti, The Revenant, and more. By Farhh, sire of multiple Group 1 performers, and out of a family that produced Crowded House and Reckless Abandon, he represents the proven cross of Pivotal and Galileo.
“Tribalist is a tough and genuine performer, a Black Type horse from the age of two. Brilliant and tenacious on the track, he recorded 10 wins including the Group 1 Prix du Moulin de Longchamp - a true model of consistency.” - André Fabre, trainer
Promising stallions joining the line-up
They will be joined by four promising stallions already familiar to breeders:
Thunder Moon (Zoffany – Small Sacrifice, by Sadler’s Wells), winner of the Gr.1 National Stakes at two, will have his first runners in 2026 following a very strong commercial start.
Texas (Wootton Bassett – Texalova, by Dream Ahead), Classic-runner-up in the Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Poulains, will also have his first runners in 2026. He represents the renowned family of Never On Sunday.
Romanised (Holy Roman Emperor – Romantic Venture, by Indian Ridge), Classic and dual Group 1 winner over a mile, has already sired his first black-type performers, headed by Group winner Zia Agnese.
Magic Dream (Saint des Saints – Magic Poline, by Trempolino), France’s top-rated three-year-old chaser of his generation, will stand as Castillon’s National Hunt representative, with his first three-year-olds set to make their racetrack debut in 2026.
With Castillon Stallions, Benoît Jeffroy brings in a wealth of experience and international network to French breeders, offering a line-up that combines pedigree, soundness and long-term potential. This new venture builds on the growth and standards of excellence established at Haras de Castillon, now recognised as a trusted partner for breeders in France and beyond.
« I want to sincerely thank all our partners for their trust and commitment. Their support has made this project possible, and together we are opening an exciting new chapter with Castillon Stallions » added Benoît Jeffroy
